Roles and Responsibilities

The Application Engineer will be responsible to get involved in all phases of development of applications. Will be responsible for completing technical specifications, develops basic/moderately complex code, prepares test data and carries out unit/end-to-end testing. Uses diagnostic tools and/or analyzes and uses vendor specifications to troubleshoot complex computer application problems to maintain or restore service or data to programs, leads the resolution of complex issues or escalates as needed to meet established service level agreements. Understands and analyses for the changes in BCP, quality, security and compliance requirements for supported area.
Should troubleshoot, maintain, create, and develop SQL databases and SSIS used as back-ends for existing or newly created front-end software applications.
This person must be a team player, guide other team members and also able to work independently and under pressure. Attention to customer service and professionalism is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical to the success of the person in this position as there is a need to interact with other technical teams. On time reporting and escalation is required. Experience with troubleshooting, issue resolution and availability outside of normal business hours to address escalation and implement production changes is required.

Skills and Job Requirements

At least 5-6 years IT experience with primary focus and technical skills/experience in the following:
- Microsoft C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 3.5 (1 year)
- SQL Server 2005/2000 database development, including data modeling and administration, stored procedures, user defined functions, CLR functions, Common Table Expressions, query optimization, DTS/SSIS packages
- Use and software manipulation of XML data and XML metadata.
- Knowledge of Javascript

- Strong application development experience
- User support and communication skills
- Object oriented design methods, patterns, UML, Use Cases, model-driven development
